For overall cardiovascular fitness, slow steady paces on a cardio fitness machine is fine, but if you’re looking for the most effective and efficient way to lose weight, take a look at interval training. Your home workouts will never be the same again!

Interval Training

Interval training is essentially exercising intensely for a period of time followed by short periods of “rest”. The high intensity phase is done as a sprint, and the low intensity phase is meant designed as a recovery period. By alternating high and low intensities during your home cardio workouts, you will burn more calories during and after your workout. Burning calories after you perform interval training at home is what leads to weight loss.

Interval training can be performed on just about any cardio machine when you workout at home.
