Band Flex Home Gym
The Bowflex and the Crossbow home gyms are the most well known “resistance rod” based exercise equipment, however, they are pretty expensive. Fortunately the Band Flex home gym from Stamina fitness offers a low-cost alternative to the popular “As seen on TV” home gyms. At up to one third of the cost of a Bowflex gym, the Bandflex provides similar looks and performance, at a better value.
Opinions on the bandflex home gyms are generally positive. The Band Flex gym provides up to 290lbs of resistance, which is higher than the default resistance of 210lbs of the Bowflex. The number of exercises you can perform is similar to the Weider home gym and Bowflex, since they’re similar in design.
Unlike the Bowflex and Crossbow home gym which receives its’ resistance from resistance rods, the Bandflex uses bungee cables. This provides nearly identical feel and performance of the resistance rods, since they are based on a variable resistance technology.
